Pediatric Speech, Language & Movement Services

Pediatric Evaluations

Every child communicates in their own unique way. Pediatric speech and language evaluations at The Leaping Lotus are individualized and designed to understand your child’s strengths, needs, and communication style.

Rather than focusing only on what may be difficult, I take time to look at the whole child—their interests, play, interactions, strengths, and everyday environment. Together, we can build a clearer understanding of how your child communicates and identify ways to support their growth, confidence, and connection.

Speech & Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy at The Leaping Lotus is individualized to your child's unique communication needs, strengths, and interests. Sessions are child-led and play-based, weaving together movement, connection, and meaningful interactions to support communication in ways that feel natural and engaging for your child.

Our neuro-affirming approach honors your child's unique way of being and communicating. Together, we focus on what lights your child up while gently expanding their communication skills over time.

How Therapy Works

Every child’s therapy journey is different. After your child’s evaluation and consultation, we’ll work together to determine the therapy structure that best supports your child and family.

Reserved Scheduling

For families seeking consistent, ongoing support, I offer 3-month therapy terms with a dedicated weekly appointment time.

Each term includes 10 individualized, in-home therapy sessions scheduled over approximately 12 weeks. This allows for consistent care with built-in flexibility for planned breaks, holidays, and unexpected scheduling needs.

Each session is tailored to your child's age, strengths, interests, communication needs, and goals, incorporating play, movement, and sensory-informed strategies when beneficial.

Parent coaching, collaboration, and progress monitoring are incorporated throughout the therapy process.

Flexible Scheduling

For families who need greater scheduling flexibility, sessions are arranged based on availability rather than a consistent weekly appointment time.

This option may be a good fit for families who aren't ready for a standing appointment or prefer occasional support.

Not sure which option is right for your family?

Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to talk through your child’s needs and explore the best fit.

Location & Mobile Services

The Leaping Lotus is a Los Angeles–based mobile practice offering family-centered services in a child’s familiar environment, such as home or another meaningful space. Meeting children where they feel most comfortable allows therapy to feel natural, connected, and supportive.

Services are currently available within a growing Los Angeles service area. Please reach out to learn whether mobile services are available in your area.

Our Philosophy

The Leaping Lotus is rooted in a neuro-affirming, strengths-based, and child-led philosophy. This means honoring each child’s unique way of communicating, moving, and engaging with the world, and building on what already feels natural and meaningful to them.

Play, movement, and connection are at the heart of the work, creating space for children to feel safe, curious, and fully themselves while they grow at their own pace.

Bloom & Connect

Bloom & Connect is at the heart of The Leaping Lotus—a belief that children thrive when they feel seen, supported, connected, and free to be themselves.

Through speech, movement, play, and connection, I create space for children to grow in ways that feel authentic to who they are. Just as importantly, I partner with families so they feel supported, informed, and connected throughout the journey.

Because growth doesn’t have to look one way. Every child has their own way of blooming.

Children’s Yoga & Movement

Children’s yoga and movement at The Leaping Lotus create opportunities for children to connect with their bodies, explore movement, build confidence, and experience joy.

There is no expectation of perfect poses, stillness, or performance. Children do not need to be flexible, calm, or experienced with yoga to participate. Instead, sessions invite children to move, play, explore, and connect in ways that feel natural to them.

Sessions are guided with warmth and flexibility, while honoring each child's individual  needs, strengths, and comfort level. Movement becomes a space where children can feel safe, comfortable, and free to be themselves.
